Requirements / Requerimientos

1.  For Baptisms/para Bautizar

   1. Talk to the Anna Salmeron at least two months in advance to your desired date of baptism.

   2.  Parents and Godparents are required to assist to several talks in preparation to baptize your child.

   3. Baptism take place the fourth Saturday of the month at 11 am.

   4.  Register with Anna Salmeron to receive the pre-baptismal talks.

   5. God parents need to be catholic and have all the sacraments and certificates to present them. The certificates need to be recent (from the last six months. For more information please ask Anna Salmeron at the Religious Education Office.

   6. Suggested donation $75 dollars

   7. Hablar con Anna Salmeron por lo menos 2 meses antes de la fecha deseada para bautizar.

   8.  Papas y padrinos deben asistir a unas platicas pre-bautismales.

   9. Los bautismos se celebran el cuarto sabado de cada mes a las 11 am.

   10. Registrarse para tomar la platicas pre-bautismales dos meses de anticipacion con Anna Salmeron.

   11. Los padrinos deben ser catolicos y tener todos los sacramentos y presentar las actas recientes de los sacramentos. Si viven con su pareja y desean ser padrinos, deben estra casados por la Iglesia catolica. Para mas informacion por favor comuniquese con Anna Salmeron.

   12. Donacion sugerida por bautismo $75 dolares.

 

 For Confirmation, First Eucharist & First Reconciliation/ Confirmacion, Primera Comunion y Reconciliacion

1. The process will take place for two years of preparation assisting to Religious Education Classes (CCD).

2. Registration is important for your children to receive these sacraments.

3. Children begin their preparation for sacraments in 4th grade

4. Suggested donation per sacrament $75

2. La preparacion comienza en el 4 grado.

3. Es necesario e importante registrar a sus hijos para que puedan recibir estos sacramentos.

 For Marriage / Para Matrimonio

Documents Required in Advance of Marriage in the Church

1. Baptismal Certificates (with notations) recently issued by the parish where your baptism took place.

2. Certificates of Confirmation and First Communion, if not noted on Baptismal Certificate.

3. Birth Certificates, to verify name spelling.

4. If, one or other has been previously married, a Declaration of Nullity or Dispensation from Form, must be received from the Diocesan Tribunal.

5. For couples with residence outside the Othello parish territory, a letter from your pastor granting permission for the wedding to take place here must be presented.

Personal Requirements for Marriage in the Church

1. The prospective bride and groom must be prepared to promise without conditions or reservations to be entering a marriage that is for life, to be faithful to one another, and be open to children as the fruit of their mutual love and a gift from God.

2. The couple must have the emotional and psychological maturity to be able to successfully live the commitments they are making in marriage. They must be free of addictions to alcohol or drugs.

3. Both parties must be at least 19 years of age. If one or other is less than 19, they must receive professional counseling prior to continuing the pre-marriage program.

4. Both parties must be free to marry. If one or other has been previously married, a Declaration of Nullity or Lack of Form for that marriage must be obtained and presented. The pastor will help you know what is needed and how to obtain it.

5. Weddings take place the first and second Saturday of the month. (During the time of Lent and Advent there are no weddings). Weddings are at 11 am and 1 pm depending on the availability.

6. The church must be cleaned by 1 pm if your ceremony took place at 11 am and by 3 if it was at 1 pm.

7. A $50 dollars deposit before the wedding is required to assure the cleaning of the church after the ceremony. Reimbursed at the pastor’s discretion three days after the ceremony.

Informes en Espanol

Documentos necesarios para la celebracion:

1. Actas de Bautismo (con notaciones si hay) recién hechos por la Parroquia donde fueron bautizados. Menos de 6 meses de emitidos.

2. Actas de Confirmación y/o Primera Comunión.

 3. Actas de Nacimiento.

4. Si es necesario en un caso particular, Declaración de Anulación de un matrimonio anterior y los otros decretos canónicos necesarios en tales casos.

5. Investigación Pre-Matrimonial, que el Párroco va a llenar junto con ustedes.

 6. Los contrayentes o por lo menos la novia tienen que ser miembros activos, registrados de la parroquia del Sagrado Corazón, Othello. Que asistan  a misa regularmente por lo menos seis meses antes de la boda.

1. Las personas tienen que prometer sin condición ni reservación que van a ser fieles a su esposo/a, que forman una unión matrimonial para toda la vida, y que son abiertos a tener hijos como don de Dios.

2. Las personas tienen que haber cumplido los 19años mínimo. Si uno o otro tiene menos que 19 años, hay que cumplir un programa de consejería profesional.

3. Tienen que tener la madurez emocional y psicológica suficiente para hacer las promesas matrimoniales.

4. Tienen que cumplir completamente el programa de preparación pre-matrimonial de la parroquia.

5. Hay que ser libre para casarse, que significa que ninguno de ellos ha sido casado por la Iglesia o por el civil antes con otra persona, o si han sido casados por la Iglesia o por lo civil,  que hayan conseguido una Declaración de Anulación de parte de la Iglesia.

6. Las Misas de bodas son el primero y segundo sábado de cada mes solamente y las misas se celebraran a la 1:00 pm.

7. Un deposito de $50 dolares para asegurar la limpieza de la Iglesia despues de la ceremonia. Se regresara este deposito a discrecion del parroco.

La pareja tiene que salir de la iglesia no mas tarde de las 3 pm y buscar alguien quien limpie la Iglesia después de la celebración
